Travelling A Tool For Education

Travelling has long been viewed as a necessity ever since the first means of transportation were invented, from horses, to donkeys, to caravans, and to the highly advanced airplanes and space shuttles, travelling has really become a need for most people. They need it to relax, to have fun, to release their inner frustrations, their stress, all of their inner feelings. But, unknown to most, travelling is also a great tool for education and learning.
When students go on field trips and visit other places, such as when Backpacking in Europe, they are given the chance to explore a new culture, a new race, and make new temporary friends that they may meet along the way. They also will be able to learn about the past events or the history of the said place that they are visiting, which makes travelling a really effective tool when it comes to learning and education.

Winter Backpacking

As an experienced backpacker, people often ask if it is possible to backpacking in Europe in the winter months. Will it be too cold? Does it just rain all the time? I always answer the same thing – You won’t get a sun tan but you certainly will have a great vacation.

Travelling in the winter months is not without it’s challenges. For a start the weather is colder so you have to pack much more clothing, which can be difficult for those that like to travel as lightweight as possible. The risk of snow and frosts also make backpacking in a tent impossible so you will have to budget for accommodation in hostels.

Be weary of venturing to Russia and further North in the Winter months, temperatures here regularly reach -40 degrees so unless you have the corect equipment can be very dangerous indeed.

Overall, it depends on your likes and fancies. Most European cities have fireworks shows in the winter so are well worth visiting
