A kitchen is one of the most important rooms to renovate. Many married couples want to see how clean feeling the kitchen is. You should make the kitchen appear Modern, bright, and sparkling clean. Replace all outdated appliances that aren’t painted black, white, or ivory color. If you have an older refrigerator that clashes with the renovated kitchen, consider replacing it with a more modern looking one.
If you have outdated looking light fixtures, replace them with new ones. You may need the help of a professional electrician to replace some of the light fixtures. Be sure to replace outdated kitchen and bathroom electrical outlets with ground fault circuit interrupt units (GFCIs). The GFCIs is designed to keep you from getting shocked and is required by code in wet areas of new construction, including the kitchen, bathrooms, garages, and basements.
In other parts of the home, change all the switch plates to newer, more appealing ones. Switch plates are inexpensive and make all rooms look much cleaner.
